Every thermographic inspection carries with it an element of risk. This presentation will focus on identifying risks particular to thermography and ways to minimize it through contractual risk transfer and insurance. Covered topics include: waivers, indemnity agreements, limitation of liability clauses, errors and omissions (professional liability), a number of less common types of insurance.
This course is a must for every practicing thermographer wishing to better appreciate the implications of what might happen and how to actually plan for the worst.
This course will enable you to:
- understand the meaning of risk as it applies to your work
- identify liabilities in your current inspection practices and reports
- recognize regulations that may affect your infrared inspection activities
- determine how to limit exposure by eliminating unnecessary risk
- learn how risk may be shifted in advance of an inspection
This material is intended for anyone wishing to better understand risk and how it can be minimized. Course is designed for in-house and contract thermographers as well as PPM and PDM professionals.
