Increased interest in infrared thermography has created new opportunities for infrared training.  In many locations, clients are seeking focused applications or infrared certification courses that can be taken at a local venue over an extended period of time.

Infraspection Institute’s Course Materials Licensing program provides a unique opportunity for experienced thermographers to bring quality training to their colleagues or clients without having to develop their own training materials.  Licensees can elect to teach applications or full certification courses.

Best of all, our program provides all training materials, course manuals, instructor training, and support needed for success.

Here’s How it Works

  • In order to participate in the Infraspection Institute Course Materials Licensing Program, you must:
    • Be an Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer®
    • Have satisfactorily completed the training course(s) you wish to teach
    • Be proficient in your subject areas
    • Execute a Course Materials License Agreement
  • Once approved, you may begin to market and host your authorized courses
  • Infraspection will provide appropriate certificates to each student upon course completion

How Do I Start?

Simply complete the online Course Materials Licensing Application. Completing the form is easy and takes only a few minutes.  Upon receipt of your application, we will contact you to discuss your particular needs and answer any questions you may have.  We will them forward our standard form license agreement for your review and signature.  Upon receiving your signed agreement along with your licensing fee, you will be eligible to begin hosting classes.

Who is Eligible to Become a Licensee?
Any individual or company may become a licensee; however, instructors must have appropriate qualifications acceptable to Infraspection prior to being permitted to conduct training classes using the licensed course materials.

Each of the above course offerings may be licensed individually.  Courses marked with an asterisk [*] are included at no additional charge for those who license our Level I Certified Infrared Thermographer® course.

Can Course Materials Licenses Be Upgraded?

Yes.  Licensees that opt for one or more applications or certification courses may upgrade their licenses at any time to include additional courses.  Depending upon the courses originally licensed, additional licensing fees may apply.

What Qualifications are Required for Instructors?

Prior to teaching any course, an instructor must be an Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer®. If you received training elsewhere, we can provide the training and certification necessary to qualify you to teach our classes.

What Does it Cost to Become a Licensee?

Course Materials License fees vary according to the course(s) covered by the license. Two year licenses begin at $2,000 for applications courses and range up to $7,500 each for Level I and Level II certification courses and $5,000 for Level III. There is also a per capita fee for each student trained which varies according to course title.

What is Included in the License Fee?

Under our Course Materials Licensing program, Infraspection Institute provides you with all instructor training, multimedia classroom materials, inspection standards, software, and a full color Student Reference Manual.  We also provide ongoing technical support and updates to course materials at no charge.  All materials are provided in the English language.  Should you desire a different language, we can work with you to translate materials as necessary.

What Must the Licensee Supply?

All you need provide are the students and a suitable classroom.  As part of your classroom, you will need to provide a computer with a current version of Microsoft PowerPoint, an infrared imager with a video output, and an LCD projector or large screen monitor with video input.

How Much Should Licensees Charge for Courses?

Licensees are responsible for setting their own prices for the courses they offer.  For those who elect to advertise their courses at our suggested list prices, Infraspection Institute will advertise their course dates on our web pages.

Is Marketing Assistance Available?

Yes.  Infraspection can provide Licensees with all technical copy required to properly advertise their course offerings.  Licensees are welcome to advertise their course dates on Infraspection Institute’s websites at no charge.
