Our staff is comprised of highly experienced professionals dedicated to promotion of thermography as a science. All of our infrared training instructors are practicing thermographers who have a passion for their work and a gift for sharing their real world experiences with our students. Charles Adams
Charles is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Thermographer® with over 10 years’ experience as a practicing thermographer. Charles specializes in providing infrared inspections for electrical and mechanical systems, building envelopes, and commercial roofing systems. A Certified Plumber/Steamfitter, Building Official Energy Advisor, and Level I Ultrasound Technician, Charles is the founder and owner of Hindsight Infrared Services Inc. headquartered in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Aly Attia
Aly is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and Condition Monitoring Engineer specializing in Rotating Machinery Diagnostics and Asset Reliability. Combining thermography with Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, and Ultrasound Testing, Aly has helped numerous companies to achieve their reliability and maintenance goals. Aly teaches various Condition Monitoring courses as well as delivering Infraspection Institute courses where students may choose between classroom and online training options.
Salah Attia
Salah is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and International instructor for Infraspection Institute. Working in the Arabian Gulf, Egypt, and Australia, he has more than 15 years of experience in rotating machinery diagnostics services, troubleshooting, and condition monitoring for multinational organizations. Salah is a Technical Consultant and Instructor for MDI – Australia.
Abdullah Said Balhaddad
Abdullah Balhaddad is an engineer who is a registered engineering arbitrator and specializes in machine vibration, thermography, ultrasound and machine alignment. Abdullah is a Level II Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and teaches training courses in vibration and thermography in Saudi Arabia. He holds Cat IV as a vibration analyst, Level II as a thermography inspector, Level I as an Ultrasound inspector, and Level I in machine alignment. He has an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Pittsburgh, PA, with a specialty in Mechanical Vibration. He has worked in Canada, Japan, Saudi Arabia and South Korea as a consultant. He has over 25 years experience in the field of rotating equipment. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta, Canada.
Max Barr
Max is a seasoned thermographer with experience in residential energy and structural inspections as well as infrared inspections of industrial electrical and mechanical systems. Max is a Level II Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and instructs courses in the greater Montreal area through the Infrared Learning Circle. In addition to thermography, Max teaches in the Electromechanics program at The Rosemount Technology Center, which is part of the English Montreal School Board.
Joe Blauth
Joe Blauth is a Level II Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and a journeyman electrician with over 20 years' experience in high voltage testing and maintenance. Joe is a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 269 and an instructor for the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee where he is authorized to teach thermography courses through Infraspection Institute’s Course Materials Licensing program.
Bart Bruni
Bart is an Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and an Infraspection Institute Master Thermographer®. A pest control professional licensed in the State of Florida, Bart is best known for his work with Formosan termites and provides research data on insects to several chemical companies throughout the world. A pioneer in the development of thermal imaging to detect termites, Bart has authored several papers on the use of thermography as a pest management tool. Bart is the owner of Bruni Infrared, Inc. located in North Palm Beach, Florida and teaches Infraspection Institute classes at Miami Dade College.
Achilleas Christodoulidis
Achilleas is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and a Professional Infrared and Ultrasound consultant. He has over 12,500 hours' experience in a wide variety of Thermographic and Ultrasonic Diagnostics and Stationary Applications. Achilleas holds a MSc degree in Electrical Engineering and has more than 20 years experience in industrial construction and maintenance. He is the owner of Iristem PC, headquartered in Thessaloniki, Makedonia – Greece, that also specializes in Energy and Process Automation. He teaches Infraspection courses in Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria since 2011.
Phil Conte
Phil is a Staff Instructor for Infraspection Institute. A Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and an Infraspection Institute Master Thermographer®, Phil has over 25 years' experience as an infrared thermographer for Public Service Electric & Gas of New Jersey. His extensive thermography experience includes infrared inspections of boiler refractory, electrical generation facilities, transmission and distribution equipment, motors and motor control centers, as well as aerial inspections of power transmission lines.
Tom Frail
Tom is a Staff Instructor and Account Representative for Infraspection Institute. A Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and an Infraspection Institute Master Thermographer®, Tom has over 20 years' experience as a Senior Engineering Technician responsible for overseeing infrared inspection activities for all divisions of Consolidated Edison Company of New York. In addition to his extensive thermographic experience, Tom is an expert in power quality and electrical testing and maintenance.
Skip Handlin
Skip is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and an Infraspection Institute Master Thermographer®. Certified as a Level II Vibration Specialist, Skip frequently combines vibration analysis and thermography with his mechanical skills to help ensure reliability for a wide array of complex electrical and mechanical equipment. Skip is Reliability Manager for Methanex USA, LLC headquartered in Geismar, Louisiana.
Spencer Jackson
Spencer Jackson is a Level III Thermographer with a background in forensic investigations and reconstruction of new and historic
structures. He specializes in infrared inspections of exterior building assemblies, by means of handheld and aerial (drone) cameras, and is the primary thermographer for Salas O’Brien. His formal background is in chemical engineering, with certifcations such as IIBEC’s RRO, HAAG’s HCI-C, BPI’s Building Analyst, and an sUAS pilot’s license.
Sonny James
Sonny is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer®, an Infraspection Institute Master Thermographer®, and professional infrared consultant specializing in the petrochemical industry. In addition to thermography, Sonny is a professional instructor for several NDT technologies and is an ASNT Level III certificate holder in five disciplines including Infrared and Thermal Testing. He is also certified as Clinical Thermographic Technician by the International Academy of Clinical Thermology (IACT). Sonny is founder of the NDE Institute of Trinidad Ltd., headquartered in Trinidad, West Indies.
Sandra Gaitan Kurt
Sandra is an Infraspection Institute Certified Thermographer® and ASNT Level III Certificate Holder (#103875) in Infrared/Thermal Testing and 4 other NDT methods. She brings 25 years of experience as a professional inspector and instructor. Sandra is passionate about training and is committed to providing value to her students and colleagues. Sandra teaches Infraspection Institute courses and is the Training Manager for TEAM Industrial Services Technical Training Center, located in Alvin, TX.
Leopoldo Leal
Leopoldo Leal is a Level I Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer®. Since 1997 Leo has been providing live, simultaneous translation for Infraspection Institute training courses offered in Mexico and the Latin American Region. Leo is also responsible for the Spanish versions of Infraspection Institute’s course materials. Leo is founder and President of TraduSIR, a professional translation firm headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico.
Mun Woh Lee
Mun Woh is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and professional infrared consultant. A Professional Engineer registered in the UK and Australia, Mun Woh conducts Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® Courses in the Malay language in Malaysia and the surrounding region. Mun Woh is Technical Director of LC Engineering Services Sdn Bhd, a condition monitoring consultancy based in Kuala Lumpur.
Marvin Madriz
Marvin Madriz is an Infraspection Institute Master Thermographer® and an Electromechanical Engineer. Since 2007, he has been involved with several areas of condition based monitoring including infrared thermography, vibration analysis, ultrasound, shaft and pulley alignment and motor testing. Marvin is one of the founders of Tecnologías Predictivas, a CBM consulting company headquartered in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Fluent in Spanish, he teaches Infraspection courses in Costa Rica and throughout the Latin American Region.
Michael Montgomery
Mike is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and an Infraspection Institute Master Thermographer®. An I.B.E.W. Journeyman Electrician since 1978, Mike worked for General Motors Corporation for 32 years using infrared thermography, ultrasound, and vibration analysis to troubleshoot problems related to electrical systems, machinery and production. Since 2006, Mike has an impressive track record in the automotive industry in applying thermography to product development, engineering and facilities improvement.
Raul Muñoz
Raul Muñoz is an Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and the General Manager of Muga Ingenieros, located in Monterrey, Mexico. Raul became an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer in 2005 and Power Distribution Master in 2012. In addition to his experience in thermography, Raul is also involved with power quality, ground testing and vibration analysis. Raul teaches Infraspection courses in the Spanish language throughout Mexico and the Latin American Region.
Farhan Norazman
Farhan Norazman is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® with over 14 years’ experience in predictive maintenance as a Condition Monitoring Specialist. Farhan holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering Technology and is Level I certified in Airborne Ultrasound. Farhan works with Lubetrain Resources and teaches Infraspection Institute courses in Malaysia.
Sudsuda Panpiemras
Sudsuda is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and professional infrared consultant specializing in commercial and industrial thermography. In addition to thermography, Sudsuda holds a degree in chemical and industrial engineering. Fluent in both Thai and English, Sudsuda coordinates and teaches Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® Courses in Thailand. Sudsuda is General Manager of Summit Engineering & Services Company headquartered in Bangkok.
Mark Powell
Mark is an Infraspection Institute Master Thermographer and Instructor for Infraspection Institute. He has extensive experience as a roof consultant and previously served as executive Vice President of Field Operations for ICS Services. In 2014 Mark joined Tremco CPG, Inc. and was promoted to Diagnostic Trainer for Tremco North America and the United Kingdom in 2022.
John Pratten
John Pratten is an Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer®, an Infraspection Institute Master Thermographer® and professional infrared consultant specializing in commercial and industrial thermography. Since 2002 John has provided infrared training and consulting services to hundreds of individuals and companies worldwide. John is Founder and President of Proactive Maintenance Consultants and volunteers his thermographic skills for Habitat for Humanity. John teaches open enrollment and on-site courses for Infraspection Institute.
Jolito Ramos
Jolito Ramos is a Level II Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and Certified Maintenance and Reliability Proffesional (CMRP). He is also a Certified Level IV Vibration Analyst and Level II Machine Lubricant Analyst. Drawing upon his knowledge and practical experience in various Condition Based Monitoring technologies, Jolito is able to share unique and valuable insights with students. Jolito teaches Infraspection Institute courses in the Philippines.
Ahmed Samir
Ahmed is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® with more than 15 years' experience in predictive maintenance and condition based monitoring. He is also certified in vibration and reliability. During his career, Ahmed has helped to implement condition monitoring systems for numerous industrial facilities throughout the Middle East. Since 2006 he has trained hundreds of engineers and technicians in condition monitoring technologies. Based in Abu Dhabi, Ahmed teaches Infraspection Institute courses in the Middle East and Africa.
Rodney J. Scott
Rod is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and professional infrared consultant. Rod has over 16 years' experience in infrared thermography. Rod has an extensive background working daily in the field with electrical, mechanical, building structures, roof moisture, gas leak detection and refractory applications. Rod is the Founder and President of Invizions Inc., a worldwide nondestructive service company headquartered in Norwalk, Ohio.
Jim Seffrin
Jim has been an Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® since 1984. Jim is a Co-founder of Jersey Infrared Consultants and a practicing thermographer with over 40 years' experience as an infrared consultant. A Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP), Jim has written numerous articles, co-written existing standards, and frequently works as an expert witness on projects involving thermography. Jim has been teaching for Infraspection since 1995 and was appointed Director of Infraspection Institute in April 2000. Jim is also an Infraspection Institute Master Thermographer®.
Wayne Swirnow
Wayne is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer®, an Infraspection Institute Master Thermographer® and professional infrared consultant. Wayne specializes in commercial and industrial thermography as well as being certified by the Building Performance Institute as a Building Analyst, conducting Home Energy Performance Audits. Wayne is the Founder of Infrared Imaging Services LLC, a commercial infrared inspection company, headquartered in New City, New York.
Steve Tan Chin Aun
Steve Tan is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® who has been involved in Infrared Thermography since 1998, carrying out Infrared Inspections for Electrical and Mechanical installations for various Industries including the Oil & Gas industry in Malaysia. He conducts Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® Courses in both English and in Bahasa Malaysia in Malaysia and the surrounding region.
Norbert Trimmer
Norbert is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and a NETA Level 2 Certified Assistant Technician. Norbert has over 10 years’ experience in electrical testing and maintenance. In addition to his electrical testing background, he has extensive experience in thermographic inspections of medium and high voltage electrical equipment. Norbert works with Saber Power Services, Rosharon, TX and teaches Infraspection Institute classes throughout the southern United States.
Duncan Waldie
Duncan Waldie is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and an Infraspection Institute Master Thermographer™. He has over 10 years of thermography experience and is a Red Seal Journeyman electrician. In addition to teaching Infraspection courses, Duncan is a UE Systems Level 1 and Level 2 Instructor and a Level 2 X-Ray Fluorescence technician and instructor. A Regional Expert Trainer for PepsiCo, Duncan supports a variety of their business units throughout North America.
Brenton Ward
Brenton is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer®, an Infraspection Institute Master Thermographer® and professional infrared consultant specializing in large industrial facilities. Brenton holds a degree in Commerce from the University of Melbourne where he majored in business law and finance. Since 1994 he has provided thermal imaging services, training and applications solutions for a wide range of industries. Brenton is National Sales Manager for Industrial Precision Instruments Pty Ltd and teaches Infraspection Institute classes in Australia and New Zealand.
Garry Ward
Garry is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer®, an Infraspection Institute Master Thermographer® and professional infrared consultant specializing in Mining and Chemical Process Industries. Garry holds a degree in Industrial Chemistry and has worked in the Mining and Chemical and Petrochemical Industries for almost 40 years. Garry is the Director of Industrial Precision Instruments Pty Ltd and teaches Infraspection Institute Classes in South Africa and the Oceania Region.
Bruce Williams
Bruce is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and a Infraspection Institute Master Thermographer™. A seasoned Predictive Maintenance Program Manager for Condition Monitoring and Asset Reliability, Bruce is certified in Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Ultrasound, and Laser Alignment. A US Navy veteran, Bruce’s has extensive field experience with electrical and mechanical systems, building structures and building commissioning for the United States Department of Defense and High Volume Semiconductor Manufacturing.

Mary Molle
Mary is a Level III Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer®. Receiving her initial certification in 1985, Mary has extensive experience in managing an infrared consulting firm and designing infrared inspections for industrial facilities. She fills a critical role at Infraspection Institute as Logistics Manager, Accountant and full-time magician making impossible tasks look easy and attending to often-overlooked, but vital, details.
Patty Stricker
Patty is an Account Manager for all Infraspection Institute training courses and services. Drawing upon her extensive marketing experience, Patty specializes in designing on-site courses that are customized to meet our clients’ particular needs. Patty is a Level I Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® and resides in East Haddam, Connecticut.

Chris Seffrin
Christopher J. Seffrin (11/10/67 – 4/25/2012) was co-director of Infraspection Institute and a practicing thermographer with nearly 30 years experience as an infrared consultant. Chris performed and/or managed thousands of Infrared projects nationwide. He was instrumental in developing Jersey Infrared Consultants’ marketing and sales programs, as well as managing the field operations. He was also a member of and…
