Bio:

Charlie has over 30 years of experience in the marine industry, serving as a Mate, Licensed Captain (USCG 1600 Ton Master), Project Manager, Yacht Compliance Officer, Certified Marine Surveyor (NAMS-CMS), Certified Marine Investigator (IAMI-CMI), USCG Civilian Domestic Vessel Inspector, TVIB Sub-Chapter-M Surveyor, ISO Lead Auditor, and Certified Level I, II, and III Infrared Thermographer with a Master of Thermography designation.

Passionate about thermal imaging, non-destructive testing, and marine inspections, Charlie actively seeks innovative technologies to enhance inspection effectiveness. He is also an accomplished author, contributing to Professional Boat Builder's Magazine and authoring the Lloyd’s Register Guidelines: Thermal Infrared (IR) Thermography Inspections on Vessels Constructed of Composite Materials.

Since 2019, Charlie has served on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Marine Investigators (IAMI). He was recently elected as the Regional Representative for the Lower Gulf region and Vice President of NAMS Global (National Association of Marine Surveyors).

Through his company, Offshore Marine Inspections, Charlie travels extensively for work. He resides in an old spice factory in the historic Marigny district of New Orleans, Louisiana, with his wife and their temperamental cat.
