Ivan Wong is the Founder and Chief Instructor of the Institute of Infrared Thermography (IIRT), with over 50 years of experience in electrical systems, power protection and infrastructure inspections.
Since specializing in infrared technology in 1999, Ivan has pioneered the adoption of thermography in Singapore for condition-based maintenance, asset reliability and defect diagnosis.
He has delivered more than 350+ thermography program, training over 2,550 engineering professionals globally.
His training methodologies contributed to Singapore Standards TR 119:2024 and was featured in national media for leading public health screening deployments.
Ivan’s experience includes national projects like SP Group's EW Cable Tunnel Project, Singapore F1 Grand Prix, and performed over 16,000 hours of field infrared inspections across the Built Environment sector.
Today, Ivan continues to mentor the next generation of inspection professionals—united by a shared mission to detect defects, and defeat downtime.
