Valentino (Val) P. De Rocili is the President and Senior Principal Consultant of Compliance Environmental, Inc., an Environmental Health and Safety consulting firm located in Dover, Delaware. He earned an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Engineering Technology from the University of Delaware, a Master of Business Administration from Wilmington University, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Safety Engineering from Kennedy-Western University.
Dr. De Rocili began his work experience in 1979 as a Process Engineer, and later a Plant Engineer, for Cargill, Inc. In the 1980's and early 1990's, he worked as a Project Manager, and later a Vice- President, for George & Lynch, Inc., a heavy and highway construction company located in Delaware. While at George & Lynch, he founded an environmental services division of the company, completing many federal and state superfund projects, including several spill clean-up and hazardous waste projects. In 1993, Dr. De Rocili founded Compliance Environmental. In more than twenty-four years of continuous operation, Compliance Environmental has completed over 5,000 projects and provides professional services to more than 150 clients. He started performing infrared inspections in 1980 on electrical and mechanical systems. He is Master Thermographer and Level III Thermographer.
Dr. De Rocili has an extensive background in Project Management practice and training. He has more-than thirty-five years of work experience as a Project Manager and consultant in processing facilities, heavy construction, and the environmental industry. In his career, he has been directly responsible for more than one-hundred million dollars of construction and environmental projects.
Dr. De Rocili also worked as a supplemental facility member at the University of Delaware for twenty-six years where he taught a Project Management course in the Bioresources Engineering curriculum.
