IR/INFO XX a Success

Burlington, NJ  January 30, 2009 -- Infraspection Institute’s IR/INFO conference was recently held in Orlando, Florida. IR/INFO XX marks the 20th anniversary for the advanced training conference, technical symposium and technology expo. IR/INFO was attended by infrared thermographers, PdM technologists, and NDT professionals from around the world who enjoyed four days of networking and learning in a relaxed, family atmosphere.

Jim Seffrin, Director of Infraspection Institute, states, “We were very pleased with this year’s IR/INFO conference. With 5 short courses and over 18 technical papers, this year’s conference covered a broad array of infrared applications, new equipment and technologies, safety and performance standards, home and building inspections, and legal issues. We thank our exhibitors, our speakers and all who attended and helped to make this year’s conference our best ever.”

Co-sponsored by Temperatures.com, BuildScanIR, and Process Sensors, Inc. this year’s conference also featured the latest in infrared imagers and software from several manufacturers. Sunday evening’s tailgate party was a big hit with door prizes going to several lucky winners.

Past attendee Kevin Richardson was the winner of a new PT-160 thermal imager graciously donated by Process Sensors, Inc. Our first annual image contest produced several interesting thermograms and cash prizes were awarded in each of several categories.

Another highlight of the conference occurred on Tuesday when guests were treated to evening admission and a banquet at Disney’s Epcot theme park. IR/INFO guests enjoyed several rides and park attractions and topped off the evening with front row seats for the Illuminations fireworks and multimedia spectacular.
Mike Montgomery of GM Delphi, a veteran of several past IR/INFO events, had this to say: “IR/INFO is a professional, informative, state-of-the-art conference. The staff is well organized and very helpful. They truly care about the quality of the attendee’s experience. I’m looking forward to next year!”

Newcomers Tyler and Kevin Bartruff were equally impressed, adding: “This conference was well planned and exceeded our expectations. We greatly appreciate being a part of everything. We plan to attend IR/INFO yearly!
